Cinque degli album da solista di Jackson - "Off the Wall," "Thriller," "Bad," "Dangerous" ed "HIStory," tutti con Epic Records - sono tra gli album più venduti di tutti i tempi e “Thriller” detiene il record dell'album più venduto al mondo nella storia dell'industria musicale con più di 70 milioni di copie vendute. Inoltre i singoli estratti da Thriller album hanno venduto più di 100 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo, un altro record senza precedenti.

Nel corso della sua straordinaria carriera, Michael ha venduto circa 750 milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo, rilasciato 13 singoli in vetta alle chart è diventato uno dei pochissimi artisti che è stato inserito due volte nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
